Hed Kandi to celebrate 10 years ans says farewell to Pacha

Posted November 2 2009 06:09 PM
On Saturday 28th November, Hed Kandi will celebrate ten glorious years of being one of the most adored and acclaimed house music brands on the planet. Entitled Pure Kandi, this event at Pacha, London, will present a musical journey from Hed Kandi’s conception back in 1999, all the way through to the internationally renowned sound and style that it boasts today.

The Hed Kandi musical journey has seen the brand evolve its much loved house sound to meet the ever-changing and discerning needs of its loyal followers. Starting its life listening to the more laid back tones of nu soul with an injection of disco and house classics, Hed Kandi has continued to progress over the past ten years to earn its identity as one of the most trusted and reliable sources for soulful and funky house, with the most recent addition of nu disco and electro. No house music era will be left out at this spectacular event as the Hed Kandi resident massive including Phil Faversham, John Jones, Luke Neville and Sam Cannon, joined by Lovely Laura on Sax, Dean Oram on percussion and a very special guest PA (TBC), play exceptional sets that stay true to Hed Kandi back then, right now and for the future.

Whilst the candles are being blown out, and the Hed Kandi crew make their wishes of continued health, hope and house music for evermore they will also be bidding an emotional farewell to Pacha, their London residence for the past six years. Since 2003, this leading venue has played host to Hed Kandi’s flagship London event, but on the eve of its double figured existence Hed Kandi has decided to part company to launch itself into 2010 at a brand new, bigger venue, resplendent with special guest DJs, live artists and performers and an extended music and production policy.

It is sure to be a mixed bag of emotions on this night, as Hed Kandi celebrates a decade of decadence, alongside the parting of a long and beautiful friendship. Farewell Pacha – it has been a ball.
