Brian May Takes A Tumble On Stage

Posted July 3 2009 07:34 PM

Brian May proved he was a true rock star when he fell over on stage - and carried on playing.
The Queen guitarist tripped over bandmate Roger Taylor's drumkit and landed on his bottom.
He was performing on the second night of the hit musical We Will Rock You at Birmingham's Hippodrome in front of 2,000 fans when the incident happened.
He was hit by a metal trolley which was carrying Taylor during the last song of the show.
An eyewitness said: "Brian didn't see it coming from behind him and it took his feet out from under him.
"He fell backwards onto the drums, taking a couple of microphone stands out on the way down.
"It soon became clear that this wasn't in the script."
But May brushed off the stagehands that came to his aide and carried on playing his guitar solo to We Will Rock You and ended the show with an encore of Bohemian Rhapsody.
