Prince is involved in a head-to-head dispute with three unofficial fan websites, after reportedly demanding they take down all images of him.
The sites - housequake.com, princefams.com and prince.org - have formed an umbrella action group called Prince Fans United in protest. They have now posted a statement, insisting he is trying "to stifle all critical commentary", continuing: "We strongly believe that such actions are in violation of the freedom of speech and should not be allowed. There has so far been no official comment from Prince about the dispute.
In a similarly protective move, Prince barred all gig goers to his 21-dates at London's O2 Arena over the summer from taking photos.
