Stereophonics returnPosted August 13 2007 12:20 PMStereophonics return on October 1st with the eagerly awaited 6th studio album 'Pull The Pin’ – their first release in 2 years. Written by Kelly Jones, it looks set to be the definitive album of their 10-year career & features the lead single 'It Means Nothing’, September 24th. Instantaneous and razor-sharp, it’s the perfect re-introduction to one of the UK’s biggest bands and looks set to dominate airwaves this summer. Written by Kelly and produced by Kelly & Jim Lowe, 'It Means Nothing’ is a dynamic, superlative track and the very first song to be commercially released from the new LP. Following the must-have album taster 'Bank Holiday Monday’, which became a live favourite earlier this year, it’s both compelling and powerful, with melody and gravitas in equal measure. Inspired by the London terrorist attacks, it taps into Kelly's own feelings of reconnecting with core values. 'I wrote the song in a hotel room in Germany,' says Kelly. 'It was around the time 7/7 happened. It’s not a song about attacks; it’s more about the way we all realize how important our loved ones are at times like these. It’s easy to take each other for granted. We get caught up in the material world or work and forget that it all means nothing without the people you love in your life if they weren't to come home that day.' music-news.com
