Britney Spears accosted a film crew and asked them to shoot her making a statement to fans on a recent night out in Los Angeles.

The bizarre 90-second clip has been leaked online today and finds the pop icon ranting in the street about her treatment at the hands of the tabloid press.

Adopting numerous accents, she also complains about a recent spell in rehab and blames management for the decision, which followed a prolonged period of partying in the media spotlight.

In the film, she says: "I came across some magazines and they said I was pregnant. Like, America, believe everything you read because, like, you're smart and I'm stupid."

Elsewhere, Britney comments: "And my management totally knew what they were doing when they decided to send me to rehab.Some lady told me: 'Britney go to the light and see Jesus,' and I thought: 'Oh my god, I'm going to do it.' Our world is so nice."
