Lily Allen cancels US datesPosted April 18 2007 12:16 PMLily Allen has cancelled a number of her May and June US tour commitments saying that she is 'tired'. The LDN and Smile star made the announcement on her MySpace page and noted that her Los Angeles and New York dates will still be honoured, as will the Coachella and Bonaroo festivals. Allen wrote rather in tongue-in-cheek fashion: 'I thought that being a popstar meant going out getting trashed with famous people and sleeping in all day. The fact that this is not true has come as a huge disappointment to me, and as a result I am throwing the towel in. 'No but seriously, I have been on tour with this album for a year now, I have fulfilled every commitment up to this point. I am tired, but more than that I don't think I have been giving my best performances recently.' The cheeky star added that she was 'excited' about writing her second album which she will continue doing while promoting her current record in the US. Her debut album Alright, Still saw the star nominated for a number of Brit Awards, although Allen went home empty handed. Taken from M&C Keywords :
