Rolling Stones guitarist and rock icon Keith Richards reportedly admitted in an interview with NME music magazine that he tried to snort his father’s ashes during a drug binge.

The British press, including the Sun tabloid, reported on Tuesday that the rocker was interviewed by the magazine (which is scheduled on newsstands in Britain on Wednesday) and that the story was not an April Fool’s joke.

The Sun ran a quote from the story where Richards says the “strangest thing” he ever tried to snort was his father. The rocker goes on to say that he “couldn't resist” mixing his father’s ashes with his drugs. Richard’s father died in 2002.

Richards reportedly also takes a couple of jabs at modern rock acts by calling them crap, posers and rubbish. He also brags about still being alive at 63 despite his drug history and being on 'Who's Likely To Die' list for a decade. As of yet, Richards and his publicist have not made any comments to the press concerning his claims to NME.
