Beyonce at the top of the Soul Train nominationsPosted March 12 2007 01:25 PMBeyonce has shown once again that she is “irreplaceable” to the music industry by leading in the Soul Train nominations - including best female album for "B'Day." The singer is also up for best female single for "Irreplaceable" and the Michael Jackson Award for best music video. R&B diva Mary J. Blige received two nominations - best single for "Take Me As I Am," and best female album for "The Breakthrough." John Legend, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo and Yung Joc also received multiple nominations. Legend will once again compete for best male album for ‘Once Again’ single for "Save Room.” He won in both categories last year. Brown is also up for best male single for "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" and best male album for ‘Chris Brown.’ Ne-Yo is up for best male single for "Sexy Love" and best new artist. Yung Joc received nominations for best new artist and best dance cut for "It's Goin' Down." The Isley Brothers Featuring Ronald Isley received nominations their single "Just Came Here to Chill" and ‘Baby Makin' Music’ earned a nomination for best album. Gnarls Barkley were also nominated for their single "Crazy" and album ‘St. Elsewhere.’ The Soul Train Music Awards will be aired March 17-24, and are sponsored by the television show "Soul Train."
