Britney attempts suicide

Posted February 22 2007 10:18 PM

Not once, but twice has Britney Spears attempted suicide after the head shaving debacle, and subsequent fallout of her actions.

Allegedly, the National Enquirer is reporting Spears is "terrified" she will lose custody of her sons, prompting the disturbed behavior including her laughing oddly in a car alone while outside attorney's offices.

The Enquirer reports the "troubled star tried to take her own life by walking into traffic, only to be rescued at the last second by her staff."

Unnamed sources close to Briney reveal she tried to overdose on Xanax, and was rushed to a doctor for help.

Britney's mental breakdown was spurred by a perceived  "reconciliation" with estranged husband Kevin Federline, that was really an intervention, according to the Enquirer.

Allegedly Kevin warned her that her failure to pass a drug test would net him custody of their sons, a then hysterical Britney went off her head and ended up shaving her hair off while a crowd of spectators and photographers watched outside Esther's Haircutting Studio in Tarzana, California.

"After she shaved off her hair, Britney had a complete breakdown and tried to kill herself," an unnamed insider told The National Enquirer.
