Nickelback Continue To Fly Under The Radar To Multiplatinum SuccessPosted December 29 2006 01:41 PMNickelback might just be the most successful under-the-radar band of all time, and according to singer Chad Kroeger, "That's fine by us." Hardly a headline has been written about the Canadian rockers over the past year, but all the while their fifth album, All the Right Reasons, has quietly gone quadruple platinum, scoring five #1 rock singles: "Photograph," "Animals," "Savin' Me," "Rockstar" and "Far Away." After 60 weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart, the LP remains in the top 25, and they racked up American Music Awards nominations in September.
"We aren't new anymore, so I don't expect us to be heating up the media," guitarist Ryan Peake said. "We're just going to do our thing and let the people do the talking. [And sales figures] are kind of the scoreboard." Taken from VH1 Keywords :
