My Chemical Romance 'Parade' the Streets

Posted December 19 2006 06:42 PM

My Chemical Romance are bringing 'Welcome to the Black Parade' to the road beginning Feb. 22 in Manchester, N.H. The tour comes four months after the smash album hit stores, but when the band visited AOL to tape a Session performance a while back, frontman Gerard Way said that's just as he planned.

"This record, it's not a double album, but it's got enough ideas to make it one and people really need to digest that," he said.

If the group has its way, no pun intended, fans might get the chance to see the new album done live in its entirety a la Pink Floyd's 'The Wall.' "We definitely want to do the album in its entirety," Way says. "That's the ultimate goal when you make a record like this and we're a very theatrical band."

Guitarist Frank Iero agrees. "Every song is there for a reason," he said. "Everything flows together and it's a complete thought, so I'd like to tell the whole story one day. That'd be nice."
