Bryan Adams to kick off 2007 tour in the USPosted December 11 2006 03:41 PM
During downtime from his philanthropic activities and photography exhibits, Bryan Adams will take time to play a few US dates in January.
The Canadian rocker will focus on casinos and resorts in the Eastern half of the US staring Jan. 5 in Biloxi, MS. Following his gigs in the States, Adams will do a run of dates in South America in February/March, then head for Europe for shows into June. The international dates are listed at his website. Earlier this year, Adams was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. The veteran singer/songwriter celebrated his 25th anniversary as a recording artist in 2005 by releasing his first two-CD retrospective, "Anthology." "Room Service," Adams' most recent album of new music, was released in the US in the spring of 2005. It was his first studio album in almost seven years with the exception of the 2002 movie soundtrack for "Spirit," which Adams composed and performed in English and French. In addition to his music career, Adams has made quite a name for himself in the photography world, exhibiting his work all over the globe. One of his photographs of Queen Elizabeth II was used as a Canadian postage stamp in 2004 and 2005. In November, the artist opened his first photo exhibit in Austria to spread the word about the new Bryan Adams Foundation, which is dedicated to humanitarian causes including cancer research, education and the environment.
