While quirky New York City troubadour Adam Green releases his fifth solo album, 'Jacket Full of Danger,' on July 25, he may not be recording alone much longer. In perhaps one of the strangest pairings we've heard of, Green is hoping to work with Vanilla Ice.

"I want to collaborate with him on something because I think he has an important place in history," he says. "I also want to make an album called 'Hot Vanilla,' because my mom loves that drink."

Green says he envisions the Iceman laying down some spoken word.

"I firmly believe that if he had stuck with it" -- the rap rhymes, the angular hairdo, the shiny attire -- "he would be reaping the benefits," he deadpans. "If MC Hammer had worn Hammer pants for the last 20 years, he'd be doing great right now. Look at Little Richard. You've gotta stick with your thing. No one's new thing is any better than people's old thing."
