'American V: A Hundred Highways,' the last record by American treasure Johnny Cash, debuted at No. 1 this week, selling 88,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The effort, Cash's last go-round with producer Rick Rubin, was recorded between the death of Cash's wife, June Carter Cash, in May 2003 and his own death that September.

Canadian songbird Nelly Furtado bounced back from last week's third slot to No. 2, selling 81,000 copies of her latest, 'Loose.' That was enough to keep last week's No. 1, India.Arie's 'Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationships,' which features a guest spot from Bonnie Raitt and a cover of Don Henley's 'The Heart of the Matter,' at bay. Arie dropped to No. 3, selling 68,000 copies.

Rounding out the top five were the Dixie Chicks, who stayed firmly at No. 4 with their platinum album, 'Taking the Long Way,' selling another 57,000 copies, and Gnarls Barkley, who slid up one spot to No.5 thanks to the massive smash hit 'Crazy.' Their album, 'St. Elsewhere,' sold another 55,000 copies.
