X-Ecutioners mp3
X-EcutionersBirthdate: January 1 1989 br> Genres: RAP/R&BThe X-Ecutioners is a group of hip hop DJs / turntablists from New York. They used to include 11 members and were originally called X-Men, after the Marvel Comics characters, but had to change their name due to copyright infringement. The crew was later reduced to members Rob Swift, Roc Raida, Total Eclipse, and Mista Sinista (named after the Marvel Comics' Mister Sinister.) Sinista later left the group shortly after the release of Built From Scratch, and Rob Swift left the group for personal and artistic reasons in 2005. In the wake of Swift's departure, The X-Ecutioners have been scarcely heard of; however, the latest word is that the group has 2 new members, DJ Boogie Blind and DJ Precision (according to Scratch Magazine September/October 2006 issue). Their original X-Men name was chosen partly because of their battle between Super DJ Clark Kent's crew of DJs, known as the Supermen. They have been known to do numerous collaborations, ranging from Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda to Cypress Hill to Kool G Rap. They also notably collaborated with Mike Patton on the album General Patton vs. The X-Ecutioners. The X-Ecutioners have worked with many famous artists on their albums Built From Scratch and Revolutions and are highly respected in hip-hop for their turntable skills. They are famous for beat juggling which is a well known DJ-ing technique. The X-Ecutioners contributed to a remix of Run-DMC's King of Rock on the Harmonix game Amplitude. Artists that have worked with The X-Ecutioners are as follows: Aasim, Anikke, The Artifacts, The Beatnuts, Biz Markie, Black Thought, Busta Rhymes, Cypress Hill, Dead Prez, DJ Premier, Eminem, Everlast, Fat Joe, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Kool G Rap, Large Professor, Linkin Park, Mike Patton, M.O.P, Nelly, Organized Konfusion, Pharoahe Monch, Raekwon, Rock Marcy, Rob Zombie, Saigon, Skillz, Slug, Start Trouble, Trife Da God, Wayne Static and Xzibit |
