Tru LifeGenres: RAP/R&BTru-Life (born Robert Rosado) is a Puerto Rican-American rapper from New York City who is currently signed to Jay-Z's Roc-La-Familia label. Tru-Life stands for The Righteous Uniting Everybody Living In a Fantasy Environment. His latest release is a mixtape called Tru York, hosted by J-Love. He is part of a loose collective of rappers from New York known as Ghetto Inmates, along with Seven Dirty, Raze, Pee Da Blame, and Screw. Rapper Snoop Dogg wanted to sign Tru-Life. Snoop Dogg brought Tru-Life to the Apollo Theater two nights in a row. Snoop Dogg is slated to co-executive produce Tru-Life's album with Jay-Z.
Many may not know that before the whole Roc-La-Familia and Dipset beef,
that Tru Life was previously signed to Loud Records and Dreamworks.
Under both labels, his albums never dropped and . His first album "
crazed Inmates" was suppose to drop under Loud, and "Cryin' Out Loud"
was suppose to drop under Dreamworks. Issues and feuds prevented the
great work of both albums to never release, leaving many masterpieces
in the underground and unknown. |
