Trina

Birthdate: December 3 1978 Genres: RAP/R&B

Trina first gained notoriety in 1998 with her appearance on Trick Daddy's album, most notably on the song "Nann". Her own debut album, Da Baddest Bitch, featured a cameo by Trick Daddy and was released in 2000 on Atlantic Records through the Slip-N-Slide imprint. Trina, who was a real estate agent and a stripper before she began her career in music, spent the next two years honing her raw, raunchy style, following in the vein of fellow female MCs Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown. In 2005, Trina re-appeared with the single "Don't Trip", featuring Lil' Wayne. Her album "Glamourest Life" was released in October, 2005 -- and has thus far sold more than 389,000 copies, her worst selling album to date. Trina's most successful single to date is entitled "Here We Go", and features former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland. Da Baddest Bitch is Trina's most successful album selling over 700,000 copies, none of her albums have reached platinum status.

She is featured in a new song from DJ Khaled's album Listennn... The Album called "Candy Paint" featuring Slim Thug and Chamillionaire. She will be featured on Fergie's new solo album, The Dutchess, and will put out her a new fragrance and clothing line DP Wear (Diamond Princess Wear).

In an interview will Billboard, Trina is working on her fourth album, called "Da Baddest Bitch II" with producers Kanye West, Scott Storch, Jazze Pha, Cool & Dre, Swizz Beatz and Just Blaze. She has announced that she left Atlantic Records. She is currently looking for a label that will promote her better. She left on good terms.
