Paul Oakenfold could happily retire and live off his Big Brother theme
tune royalties alone, no doubt, but this new single proves that his
appetite for filling the clubs is as strong as ever. Like recent hits
from BodyRockers and Deep Dish, Faster Kill Pussycat revolves around a
distorted electric guitar-sounding riff, but here actress Brittany
Murphy adds a whole bucketload of class with some deliciously sultry
vocals, setting this apart from some of the trashier efforts knocking
around the dance scene of late. Oakenfold's new album, A Lively Mind,
from which this is taken, also features collaborations with Pharrell
Williams and Grandmaster Flash.
