Eric Prydz

Birthdate: July 19 1976 Genres: Electro/Dance

Eric Prydz (born July 19, 1976) is a Swedish DJ and producer best known for his 2004 hit single "Call on Me", which topped the UK singles charts for five weeks, stopping the Manic Street Preachers from reaching number one with "The Love of Richard Nixon". Eric Prydz also releases music under several other aliases including Cirez D, Pryda and Sheridan. He is also a part of what is known as the "Swedish House Maffia" with Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell. The music he produces falls under the genre of Tech House which is a subgenre of Electronic Music.

Prydz has produced other songs including "Spooks", "Nile" (his girlfriend's name, Elin, read backwards), "Sucker DJ" "Human Behaviour" under the name of Pryda, "Slammin" and "Woz Not Woz" (with Steve Angello), and has remixed the Shapeshifters hit "Lola's Theme" and the Pet Shop Boys 2003 single "Miracles". Also many bootleg mixes are said to be Eric's. For example, Inner City's "Good Life" or Duran Duran's "Reach up (for the sunrise)". Lately, Eric, together with Axwell, under the alias of Axer, made a catchy song named "123". Eric's latest released remix, in 2006, is Switch's song "A bit Patchy". Aside from producing music he runs the record labels Pryda, Pryda Friends and Mouseville.
